1. Who we are
Double Glazing Quote is run from Craigentinny Road, Edinburgh, EH7 6NB, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@doubleglazingquote.uk. See our about page for more.
2. What this site is
Double Glazing Quote is a free introduction service and a set of guides. It is not an installer and not an independent price comparison service.
When you send the quote form with your consent, we pass your enquiry to our lead partner, named in our Privacy Policy. It contacts you and shares your enquiry with local installers who cover your postcode.
The quote service is for double glazing.
We may be paid when we pass on an enquiry.
3. Who can use the quote service
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must own the property or be its landlord. If you rent, ask your landlord to make the enquiry.
- The property must be in the UK. Quotes depend on local installers covering your postcode.
4. Your enquiry
- Give accurate details about yourself and your property.
- Send one enquiry per property.
- Do not send someone else's details.
We may decline to pass on an enquiry, for example if it looks false or incomplete. Your consent to share your details is given separately in the form and is explained in our Privacy Policy. It is not part of these terms.
5. No contract with us for the work
Any contract for windows is between you and the installer you choose. We do not survey, quote, fit, guarantee or take payment for any work. You do not have to accept any quote.
Using this site and the quote form costs you nothing, and the quotes are free.
6. Our guides
Our guides give general information to help you compare quotes and deal with installers. They are not a quote and not legal or financial advice. An installer confirms the price and specification for your home after a survey.
We do not publish window prices. Any price comes from an installer's written quote.
7. Your rights against installers
You keep your statutory rights against any installer. For example, a contract you sign at home is an off-premises contract, which usually carries a 14-day right to cancel. Windows made to your specification can be an exception (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 28(1)(b)). If the installer does not give you the cancellation information, the period can extend by up to 12 months (regulation 31).
Our guide on the double glazing cooling-off period explains how this works. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
8. Our liability
We are responsible for providing this site with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the work, quotes, conduct or guarantees of any installer, or for how our lead partner or an installer uses your details under their own privacy notices.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit (Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 65). Your statutory rights are not affected.
