1. Who we are
Double Glazing Quote is the controller of the personal data collected on this site. That means we decide why and how your details are used, and we answer to you for it.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because we are not required to. This mailbox is our data protection contact and reaches the person responsible for data protection here.
We are a free quote-matching service, not an installer. We do not survey, quote for or fit windows.
2. The short version
- We collect what you type into the quote form.
- With your consent, we pass it to one named company: Leads 2 Trade Limited (L2T).
- Leads 2 Trade contacts you by phone, text or email about your enquiry and shares it with local installers who cover your postcode. Those installers may contact you to arrange quotes.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time. Section 10 explains how.
3. What we collect
3.1 The quote form
The quote form collects these details:
- Property type and the number of windows
- Frame material and when you want the work done
- Whether you own the property or are the landlord
- Postcode
- First name, last name, phone number and email address
- Your consent tick, the version of the consent wording you saw, the date and time you sent the form, and the page you sent it from
The consent wording sits next to the tick box on the form, and the box is never ticked for you. Each version of the wording has its own code. We store the code of the version you saw and a timestamp with every enquiry, so we can show exactly what you agreed to and when.
You do not have to give us your details. Without them we cannot pass on your enquiry, and you will not receive quotes through this site.
3.2 Messages you send us
If you email us, we keep your name, email address and what you wrote, so we can reply and keep a record of the request.
3.3 Technical data
When you visit a page, your browser sends your IP address and basic browser information to the services that deliver the page and its font (see section 5.3). We do not run advertising tags or social media pixels, and we set no cookies.
Our website host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, for security and capacity purposes. These are held briefly and are not used to identify or profile you.
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure how fast pages load. They set no cookies, do not track you across other websites and give us only aggregated figures that cannot identify you.
When you use the quote form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is sending it, not a bot. It reads your IP address and browser details to do this.
4. Why we use it and our lawful basis

We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not build a profile of you.
5. Who we share it with
5.1 Leads 2 Trade Limited
We pass your quote form details to Leads 2 Trade Limited, and to no other company that uses them for its own purposes.

Leads 2 Trade telephones you to confirm what you need. It is an independent controller and uses your details under its own privacy notice. That notice says it records consent from consumers verbally on a phone call, records its calls, may send a text if your enquiry arrives out of hours or to update you, and may email you to introduce suppliers if it cannot reach you by phone.
Leads 2 Trade operates the consumer comparison services Trusted Local Installers and CompareCompanies.
5.2 Local installers
Leads 2 Trade shares your enquiry with local installers who cover your postcode. Installers may then contact you to arrange a survey and quote.
Each installer that receives your details is responsible for how it uses them (an independent controller). Ask any installer for its own privacy notice.
5.3 Services that process data for us
These services run the site and the quote form. Each one receives some data to do its job:
- Vercel. Hosts the site and keeps the server logs described in section 3.3. The function that receives the quote form runs in Vercel's London region. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure loading speed without cookies.
- PureLyMail. Our email provider. It carries the emails we send and receive, including messages you send to hello@doubleglazingquote.uk.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare). Checks that the quote form is sent by a person, not a bot. It receives your IP address and browser details. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy information.
- Google Fonts (Google). Every page loads the Figtree font from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Your browser's request sends your IP address to Google. See Google Fonts privacy information.
5.4 Nobody else
We do not sell your details to anyone else, rent them out or use them to market other products to you. There is no data broker and no list.
We may disclose data if the law requires it, for example to the police or a court.
6. Calls, texts and emails you can expect
- Leads 2 Trade: a phone call about your enquiry, and possibly a text or email.
- Local installers: calls, texts or emails to arrange a survey and quote.
- Us: only replies to messages you send us.
To stop any of these, see section 10.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry and the record of your consent for 24 months from the date you send the form. After that we delete them.
If you email us with a question, a request or a correction, we keep the message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with it, then delete them. We do not add you to any list.
Leads 2 Trade and each installer keep your details under their own retention rules.
8. Transfers outside the UK
The function that receives the quote form runs in Vercel's London region. Some of the services in section 5.3 are run by companies based outside the UK, so data they receive, such as your IP address, may be processed outside the UK.
9. Your rights
You have these rights over the data we hold about you:
- To get a copy of it (access)
- To have it corrected (rectification)
- To have it deleted (erasure)
- To limit how we use it (restriction)
- To object to how we use it
- To receive it in a reusable format (portability)
You have an absolute right to object to your details being used for direct marketing, including our passing your enquiry to Leads 2 Trade. If you object, we stop.
To use any right, email hello@doubleglazingquote.uk. We reply within one month. The rights are set out in UK GDPR Article 13 and the articles that follow it.
10. Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it is as easy as giving it. Withdrawing does not undo what happened before you withdrew.
- Email hello@doubleglazingquote.uk with the subject "Withdraw" and the phone number or email you used. We stop using your details and tell Leads 2 Trade.
- You can also contact Leads 2 Trade directly on info@leads2trade.co.uk or 0800 124 4308.
- Ask any installer who has contacted you to stop. Each installer controls its own copy.
To reduce unwanted sales calls in general, you can register your number free with the Telephone Preference Service. Full routes are on our contact page.
11. Complaints
Complain to us first. Email hello@doubleglazingquote.uk or write to Craigentinny Road, Edinburgh, EH7 6NB, United Kingdom.
We acknowledge every data protection complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay and tell you the outcome, as section 164A of the Data Protection Act 2018 requires.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
12. Children
The quote service is for adults who own a property or are its landlord. We do not knowingly accept enquiries from anyone under 18.
13. Security
Every page is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the quote form is encrypted on its way to us. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person, not a bot.
14. Cookies
We set no cookies. When the quote form's bot check runs, Cloudflare's widget saves one small security item in your browser. Our Cookie Policy has the detail and will be updated before anything else is added.
15. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we collect or who we share it with changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. If the consent wording on the form changes, its version code changes too.
